I would like to express my gratitude for the excellent and insightful mentoring my organization received from David Oliver during the development of the organizational Business Plan that took place over several months in the fall of 2016. Early in 2016, our Board of Directors directed ONC’s Executive Team to create an organization-wide business plan that would provide the analysis to support ONC’s Strategic intent. David was selected and hired to guide and assist ONC in this endeavor.
It soon became apparent that David’s background, experience and industry knowledge was a valuable asset as he successfully identified and analyzed ONC’s current and future opportunities. David’s one-on-one interviews with ONC Department Managers to better understand how we operate helped to set the foundation to build confidence from within for adopting an organization-wide business plan. Subsequently, David conducted several cross-department sessions, and walked the organization through the various elements of the new business plan. David was able to engage groups and individual staff members in fruitful discussions that ultimately led to each unit supporting our new, organization-wide business plan. Throughout the process, David’s skill and ease at facilitating discussions and helping each group arrive at a cohesive plan was invaluable.
I would strongly recommend David Oliver to organizations that are looking for guidance and direction to create a business plan or to conduct overall strategic planning.
